Cell animation is when you draw a picture onto a plastic sheet sheet which is also called a cell. They then photograph the cell then make another cell to put over the top of it, they keep doing this process till an animation has been made. It takes really long to do which is a disadvantage, for example Snow White was a cell animation which took 3 and a half years to make.
Cell animation is made at 25 images a second.

Persistence of vision
Persistence of vision is when the brain persists an image for 1/25th of a second before the image moves onwards in an animation.
What is time lapse
Time lapse is a series of still images that are put together to give the illusion that an object or human is moving.

13/10/11 How pixilation is made
In today's lesson we made our own pixilation animation, pixilation is basically still shots that are taken at 12 frames per second, pixilation is basically animation to do with people. For example, in our animation we made it look like one of our group was riding a chair with no wheels.

06-10-11 How cut out animation is made
In todays lesson, we made our very own cut out animation with character that we have cut from magazines and newspapers, a cut out animation is a series of still shots that are put together at 12 frames per second, they basically give the illusion that a cut out from a magazine is actually moving.
